The "Best Exporter of the Year" National Contest is an open contest for the world-level producers of goods and services. The contest aims to promote the image of Belarus as an active exporter, stimulate the development of export-oriented production and encourage Belarusian enterprises that have achieved success abroad.
The contest is organized by the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; co-organizers are state bodies, executive committees, business unions, and other organizations.
The history of the contest is almost two decades long. Hundreds of companies from all regions of the country, representing the whole spectrum of Belarusian entrepreneurship, have become its laureates.
In the light of practical experience, as well as co-organizers' and participants' suggestions, the "Best Exporter" contest has been a bit modified this year. In particular, the number of categories has been optimized to ensure competitiveness; the contest committee has been established; additional criteria for the evaluation of participants have been clarified. At the same time, the basic approaches to the contest, including its main categories and criteria for selecting the winners, remain unchanged.
