On July 23, 2026, the Gomel branch of the BelCCI hosted a business meeting between the heads of enterprises of the Gomel region and The Commercial Counsellor of the Bangladesh Embassy, Dr. Shah Mohammad Habibul Hasan.
The meeting was opened by Boris Guschin, General Director of the Gomel Branch of the BelCCI, who welcomed the foreign guests and stressed the strategic importance of the South Asian direction for the region's exporters. He noted the readiness of the Chamber's infrastructure to provide comprehensive support to companies entering the Bangladesh market.
Tatiana Chechko, Head of the Department for Foreign Economic Relations of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee, made a presentation on the economic potential of the Gomel Region.
Vitaly Shevchenko, Head of the Department of Advertising, Information, Congress and Exhibition Activities of the unitary enterprise Gomel Branch of the BelCCI, spoke about the activities of the Gomel branch of the BelCCI. He presented a list of available business support tools.
Oksana Drinevskaya, General Director of JSC "Management Company of the 'Gomel Meat and Dairy Company' Holding", outlined the possibility of expanding the range of supplies to Bangladesh through the supply of dry milk, whey and canned meat.
Vyacheslav Kudravets, General Director of JSC "Gomelkhleboprodukt", initiated the possibility of direct supply of dried fruits for use as a natural filler in breakfast cereals and multi-grain porridges directly from Bangladesh without intermediaries, and also outlined the possibility of supplying oatmeal porridges to Bangladesh.
The meeting was an important practical step towards strengthening inter-regional economic ties, diversifying exports and creating sustainable logistics chains between Belarus and the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
The two-day program of The Commercial Counsellor's visit to Gomel will continue with visits to the largest enterprises in the region, JSC "Milkavita", JSC "Gomel Chemical Plant", JSC "Gomselmash" and JSC "Gomelagrokomplekt".
