Opening of the business course "Export: peculiarities of work in the current realities" within the "Academy of Export" BelCCI project

For the fourth time, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has launched a business course within the Academy of Export project. It's a unique format for training representatives of enterprises and organizations focused on working in foreign markets, the opportunity to obtain applied knowledge about export strategies, marketing policies, effective sales management, foreign trade contracts, participation in exhibitions, intellectual property protection, settlements for export deliveries, logistics, preparation of presentations and negotiating with foreign partners.

The business course was opened by Deputy Chairman of the BelCCI Elena Shabalina, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Economic Activity – Head of the Division for Coordination of Foreign Economic Activity of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Yaroslav Mitskevich, Director of Business Training Center Elena Khoroshevskaya, heads of structural departments of the BelCCI.

Speakers noted that the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been holding a business course within the Academy of Export project annually since 2018, taking into account the importance of the task of training and advanced training of heads and specialists of domestic enterprises and organizations working in various fields related to export promotion. Participation in the business course is free of charge for the BelCCI members. More than 500 representatives of domestic enterprises and organizations have already graduated from the course and highly appreciated the skills of the lecturers and gained knowledge that actively implement in their work.

This year, the BelCCI has prepared a new business course program – "Export: peculiarities of work in the current conditions". It was formed taking into account the need to train representatives of exporting enterprises to work in conditions influenced by the challenges of the time. Thematic modules were developed based on the relevance of additional knowledge on legal and tax regulation, financial resource management, transport and customs support of foreign supplies, marketing activities and other aspects of the export process. Particular attention will be paid to the development of new export niches, the introduction of modern mechanisms and work formats, and the expansion of sales markets in the current realities. A separate module will be devoted to the development of foreign economic relations in the EAEU zone.

Other innovations of the course of this year include its hybrid format: in-person classroom presence and online learning (using the Zoom platform while maintaining full learning intensity).

More than 70 representatives of enterprises and organizations, both industry leaders and representatives of small businesses, have registered to participate in the business course.

The business course program includes 12 modules: "Choosing the Right Export Strategy", "Export Marketing: Selecting Markets and Finding Partners", "Sales Management, Sales Techniques", "Participation in Exhibitions: New Formats, Trends, Features", "Business Presentation and Public Speaking, Their Features in Online Format", "Export Contract", "Export Customs Support", "Transport Logistics in the Export Process", "Financial Resource Management", "Taxes in Export Activities", "International Business Etiquette", "Eurasian Economic Integration". Lecturers are representatives of government bodies, banks and other organizations supporting exporters, leading experts of the BelCCI, well-known business trainers, successful experts in the field of foreign economic activity.

As part of the first module of the business course "Choosing the Right Export Strategy", representatives of the Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus, Belarusbank, Beleximgarant, business trainers and experts from consulting agencies presented the participants with financial and credit instruments to support exports, especially the procedure for insuring export risks, algorithms for assessing the company's export potential and entering a new market, features of strategic analysis and strategic decision-making, and other aspects of a competent export strategy.

The last module will take place on December 17.
