27 April 2023

On April 27, the Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhael Miatlikov, as part of a government delegation headed by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, took part in a meeting with the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Andrei Travnikov.

Describing cooperation with the Russian region, the head of the Belarusian government delegation noted that Belarus effectively interacts with the Russian Federation both at the federal and regional levels. "These are direct ties with the regions of Russia that are the basis for the stability and sustainability of our trade and economic ties. The Novosibirsk region is the most important partner for Belarus. Last year was very productive. The mutual trade turnover increased by 42 percent, amounting to almost $500 million. These are good results," Roman Golovchenko concluded.

Cooperation in the agro-industrial sector is also an important area. "In 2022, the turnover of food products and agricultural raw materials amounted to $83 million. Exports and imports are balanced. We consider it important to continue increasing the volume of mutual deliveries, and the fair of Belarusian goods held in Novosibirsk also contributes to this," the Prime Minister said.

On the same day, the meeting of the head of the BelCCI Mikhael Miatlikov with the leadership of the Novosibirsk City Chamber of Commerce and Industry took place, where the discussion of key areas of cooperation between the Belarusian business and the Novosibirsk region continued. The Chairman of the BelCCI invited the Novosibirsk business to participate in the International Industrial Exhibition "INNOPROM" in Yekaterinburg, where Belarus will be a partner country, invited to visit the International Specialized Exhibition "BelAgro" in Minsk, and also invited to participate in the business events to be organized by the Chambers within the framework of the Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in Ufa.
