The BelCCI delegation pays a visit to the Sverdlovsk region

On February 13–17, the delegation of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry headed by the Chairman Mikhael Miatlikov pays a working visit to the Sverdlovsk region of the Russian Federation.

The main issue on the agenda is the upcoming exhibition of industry and innovations INNOPROM 2023, which will be held on July 10–13 at the Yekaterinburg-EXPO center. This year Belarus is a partner country of the exhibition.

On February 15, a meeting of the BelCCI delegation with senior executives of the Union "Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry" was held, at which the concept of the Russian-Belarusian business forum, to be organized by the chambers of commerce and industry of as part of the exposition, was discussed.

In addition, the BelCCI delegation visited a number of sites in Yekaterinburg, where it is possible to organize fairs of Belarusian goods, as well as other events of the business and cultural program of the Belarusian exposition.

On February 16, at the Yekaterinburg-EXPO center hosted a working meeting with the participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation Dmitry Krutoy, Deputy Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus Dmitry Kharitonchik, Chairman of the BelCCI Mikhael Miatlikov and other members of the delegation from the Belarusian side, as well as Deputy Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Dmitry Ionin, Minister of International and Foreign Economic Relations of the Sverdlovsk Region Vyacheslav Yarin, acting Minister of Investments and Development of the Sverdlovsk Region Elena Khlybova, Vice President of the Ural Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Kozlov (on the Russian side).

The meeting addressed general issues of the preparation for the participation of Belarus in the INNOPROM exhibition in the status of a partner country, planned business and cultural events of the exhibition and the national exposition.

It was noted that the national exposition at INNOPROM is one of the most significant exhibition and business events of Belarus this year. The participation of Belarusian enterprises in it will contribute to the development of industrial cooperation with Russian partners, the implementation of mutually beneficial cooperation projects, and the conclusion of contracts.

As Mikhael Miatlikov emphasized, almost the entire industry of the Republic of Belarus will be presented within the framework of the exposition: novelties and the best samples of products, industrial and scientific developments, innovative solutions. A rich business program is planned with the Russian side, with an emphasis on import substitution and industrial cooperation.

Following the meeting at Yekaterinburg-EXPO center, the Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry took part in the meeting of the Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Yevgeny Kuyvashev and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Russian Federation Dmitry Krutoy. The areas of cooperation between Belarus and the Middle Urals were discussed at the meeting.

Yevgeny Kuyvashev assured the members of the Belarusian delegation that the Government of the Sverdlovsk Region would provide the Belarusian partners with all the necessary assistance in organizing the exhibition.

 

According to the Russian side, large-scale participation of foreign companies in INNOPROM is planned in 2023. Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Armenia, India, China, Iran, Turkey, Vietnam will present national expositions. More than 100 events of the business program are expected to be held, the number of professional visitors will exceed 35 thousand people.

For the first time Belarus will take part in the INNOPROM exhibition as a partner country. This is a special status, the main advantages of which are the exposition size of at least three thousand square meters, priority location in the exhibition pavilion, extensive support from the organizers of the INNOPROM exhibition, Russian federal and regional authorities, increased attention to the exposition from the media.

Many leading Belarusian enterprises have declared their readiness to take part in the international industrial exhibition, including BELAZ, Minsk Tractor Works, Minsk Automobile Plant, and others. All spheres will be presented at the exhibition – from light industry and food products to industry, IT and agricultural equipment.

In addition to the business program, the Belinterexpo exhibition company of the BelCCI, which is authorized to organize the full-scale participation of Belarus in the exhibition, is preparing a cultural program for the residents of Yekaterinburg, food and light industry fairs at various sites in the city.
