Commercial Counselor Day 2024 within the framework of "Kupalye" ("Alexandria Gathers Friends") holiday

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized the Commercial Counselor Day in the agricultural town of Alexandria, Mogilev Region, as part of the "Kupalye" ("Alexandria Gathers Friends") holiday. The event was attended by 34 representatives of the diplomatic missions of 20 countries accredited in the Republic of Belarus.

The program of events of the Commercial Counselor Day 2024 started with a visit to the Buynichi Field complex, where diplomats honored the memory of the fallen heroes by laying flowers at the memorial.

As part of their acquaintance with the industrial potential of Mogilev, the representatives of diplomatic missions visited OJSC "Olsa" – a unique Belarusian enterprise, known in the markets of the CIS countries due to its metal-framed products and electrical goods, including garden furniture, medical furniture, children's play sets, and many others goods.

Commercial counselors familiarized themselves with technological processes and samples of the enterprise's products.

Also, a business briefing with the participation of the management of the enterprise and Mogilev Regional Executive Committee was held at OJSC "Olsa".

The briefing was opened by Denis Meleshkin, Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, who thanked the leadership of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee for the warm welcome on the hospitable Mogilev land, and also noted the significance of the annual Commercial Counselor Day to familiarize diplomats with the opportunities of Belarus.

"We are pleased to note that a representative delegation is invariably formed. Today, representatives of 20 diplomatic missions are participating. I hope that this year the distinguished diplomats will appreciate our program, which has been prepared with due consideration of the existing experience and is aimed at getting acquainted with the trade and economic opportunities of the region, as well as visiting cultural and historical sites," Denis Meleshkin said.

Deputy Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee Ruslan Strakhar made a presentation of the potential of the Mogilev region.

The business briefing was concluded with an address by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia to the Russian Federation Jose Antonio Morato Tavares, after which the representatives of the diplomatic missions left for the agro-town of Alexandria.

         Upon arrival, the diplomats visited the school-museum of the first President of the Republic of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko and the local history museum at the Alexandria secondary school of Shklou district. An informal meeting with Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus Igor Petrishenko, Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee Anatoly Isachenko, as well as 17 heads of diplomatic missions and representative offices of international organizations in the Republic of Belarus took place at the school.

         At the end of the eventful Commercial Counselor Day, foreign diplomats attended the key events of the "Kupalye" ("Alexandria Gathers Friends") holiday.
